These dimmable, clear plastic, patio string lights are shatterproof and water resistant. The remote lets you choose from four brightness levels.

You can also set them on a timer up to 240 minutes.

It's 48 feet long with loops built along the way for hanging on hooks or nails.

I have one a covered patio and think these would look good hanging on the front of that so they'd be visible from the pool and the rest of the yard.
